The Disciples Ministry Center, or DMC, began serving the community in 2006, with the help of the members of Woodlawn Christian Church in San Antonio and the Bluebonnet Area of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
The DMC:
Serves an average of 200 individuals each month.
Is already being duplicated in programming by two other sites, emphasizing people's support.
Has been in operation for just over a year, but has already accomplished so much!
Q: Who does the DMC help?
A: EVERYONE! Regardless of your age, race, sex, faith background, sexual orientation, socio-economic status or physical/mental ability, you are welcome at the DMC.
Q: Will I be required to participate in religious activities to receive services from the DMC?
A: NO. Federal laws prohibit faith-based organizations from servicing people under the condition that they participate in religious activities.
